All information concerning donors or prospective donors, including their names, addresses and telephone numbers, the names of their beneficiaries, the amount of their gift, etc., shall be kept strictly confidential by the Children's Museum of Tacoma, its staff and volunteers, unless permission is obtained from donors to release such information.
The Children's Museum of Tacoma is committed to respecting the privacy of donors. The type of donor information that is collected and maintained includes:
1. Contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address;
2. Giving information;
3. Information on events attended, publications received, and special requests for program information; and
4. Information provided by the donor in the form of comments and suggestions.
The Children's Museum of Tacoma uses donors' information to understand their interests in its mission and to update them on the Museums' plans and activities. It is shared with staff, board, members, volunteers, and consultants only on a "need-to-know" basis.
The Museum will not sell, rent, trade or transfer your personal information to an outside organization. Use of donor information will be limited to the internal purposes of the Children's Museum of Tacoma and only to further the mission of the Museum. Nevertheless, security measures may not prevent all losses, and the Museum is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to security failures.
